Because the weather was getting bad in Tulum, I decided to move to Playa del Carmen. You don't believe it, but it happens to be raining here like it always does back in Holland. Enough to make you wet, but not enough to make it spectacular or to get it over with within an hour of two. I feel sad for all the 'mainly' American tourists who are only here for a week and cannot get the taint they were only here for. I have seen them walking, the macho guys with gym bodies and chicks too blond for them, the big guys with Hawaiian kaki shirts till their chests and the chicks walking around the beach proudly showing their nice shapes even in the rain. This place is so bad that I even had to bargain about my doctors consult. But I was happy to get rid of my ear infection, which diving the cennotes had given me. Anyway, because of meeting my parents I didn't mind going to Cancun, although I expected it to be even worse than Playa del Carmen.
