MC is a great city which has everything.
Nice plaza's, bars, street vendors, outside music, many shops, great markets and big shopping malls.
The food is oke, the people are friendly, it's very cheap and my Spanish is improving day by day, because you definitely need to be able to speak Spanish over here. Semana Santa was not the best time to be in MC, unless you like a 'relatively' quiet city, but they still had some processions on the zocalo, some concerts and a lot of live music.
With a Mexican, two Argentina’s and two other Dutch guys, I went to Teotihuacan.
Very touristy with a lot of group tours and unfortunately I was not very impressed by the temples. I can imagine it was a great city 1500 years ago, but now it are just rocks to me. I did had a great day though, with being surprised about mass tourism and talking Spanish with my new friends.
For the rest, I saw processions, I ate tacos, strolled around the many plaza's, saw some palaces and churches, listened to life music and relaxed and enjoyed daily life. On a normal day (not Semana Santa) there is much more interesting life, which I will see for a few more times, because MC is going to be a kind of base from where I have to return to quite a few times. For now, I will be on my way to Guatemala.
