Finally Brigitte arrived after a two hour delay of her plane. I even checked United Airlines, what had happened with the plane, because it ended up on the notice board to disappear completely afterwards. We had a lot of nice "catching up" chats and she had managed to smuggle some cheese into the country from which I enjoyed endless. Friday, Brigitte and I walked to some famous plazas, the zocalo, the chaotic market behind it, alamada parque, plaza de la republica and all the way up to the bosque. Here we enjoyed laying down in the parque where we got kicked out by a nice Mexican garden guard, because it was actually closed. In the evening we saw a kind of strange dance performance with only five people in the audience from which two white tall guys. We finished the evening with watching a concert at the zocalo. It was a day of a lot of new impressions, a lot of Mexican food and a lot of talking and eating fruits.
Saturday morning, Brigitte and I, had some interesting private problem. Later on we went up the highest tower for views of the city, both during the day and at night. And in the evening we sat at the marialdi plaza, where all performers dress up and try to entertain people with their funny songs and music. Once, when I was there, there was a guy with electric sticks and because I didn't know what it was I thought lets try it out and he literally gave me a shock for which I had to pay as well. People can think of the stupidest things here.
There was a concert of Brahms in the very impressive Belles Artes building, which we went to on Sunday. On the front row there was a young 'Bach' doing his own performance. Waving wildly with his hands and enjoying the music, kept a bit quiet by his mother or aunt. Later on we went to the bus station for a bus to Oaxaca.
