My way to Honduras on chicken buses was long and I wouldn't have made it was it not that a nice Guatemalan girl started to talk with me. She had a German father and together with her mother, they were more willing to give me a ride to the border in the back of their open pickup. I arrived in Copan ruins after a big rip-off of the last bus driver. As I said, he was the last, so after some protest what could I do. The ruins were nicer than expected. Some of them were pretty accurate and even had their original colors still painted on them. There was also a nice walk through the rainforest as the Mayans must have seen it. For the rest, there was a great central park and I got a great new book.
